Cashew Milk

Ingredients:

1 cup cashews
4 cups of water
dash of sea salt
1-2 Tbls maple syrup or sweetener of choice Optional
Dash of cinnamon Optional

Instructions:

Soak cashews in water over night.  The next day rinse the cashews until the water runs clear.  Pour them into a blender.  Blend with 2 cups of water for 2 minutes in a high speed blender or longer in a slower blender.  Blend until smooth.  If your blender won't blend until smooth, put the liquid and nuts through cheese cloth, and squeeze out the rest of the liquid.  Add 2 more cups of water and other ingredients, and blend until combined.  Pour into a container with a lid and refrigerate for 3-4 days.

It is so much better to make your own nuts milks as store bought has preservatives and carcinogens.
