Ingredients:
1/2 of an onion chopped
1/2 cup tamari sauce, or low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/3 cup organic sugar (you can use coconut sugar as well)
1 1/4 cup water
1 Tbls cornstarch mixed with a bit of water
1/4 cup sesame seeds
5 cups of chickpeas
Instructions:
On the saute mode on an Ipot, water saute the onions until they are transparent.
Add the tamari sauce, rice vinegar, and the sugar and water and bring it to a boil and let simmer for about 3 minutes.
Add the sesame seeds and the cornstarch, and let it thicken. Then add the chickpeas and warm through.
I served mine over spinach and rice.
