Steel-Cut Breakfast

Ingredients:

2 cups water
1 cup nondairy milk, water or apple or other fruit juice
1 cup steel-cut oats

Instructions:

Add the water and milk to the pressure cooker.  Add the oats but don't stir.  If you would like to add salt you can.

Lock the lid on the cooker, bring to high pressure.  Coor for 3 minutes.  Let the pressure come down naturally.  Carefully remove the lid.

Stir the mixture.  If it seems water or too loose, lock the lid back on and let it sit for another 5 minutes.  I like mine creamy, so I didn't do this.

Transfer the oats to a bowl and serve with whatever toppings you would like.  You can refrigerate the rest and it will last up to 5 days.  They will also freeze for up to a month.
